Decisions based on data, not assumptions

To assess how Museums are adjusting their programming during the pandemic, Culture Trove has developed a survey to gather insights on how exhibition providers may best support the cultural sector. We are interested in hearing from museums and galleries that borrow exhibits, and even from those that currently do not, in order to gain a clearer picture of how travelling exhibits may factor into the plans of a variety of institutions. 

Travelling exhibitions have demonstrated a consistent ability to increase visitation for museums and galleries. They bring new content to a museum’s audiences that may not otherwise be possible to develop in-house. During these challenging times, they also bring the world home, when people are unable to travel the world. Therefore, museums and travelling exhibitions have tremendous potential to help us weather the psychological effects of prolonged restrictions on travel, and support better mental health within the local community.

If you are a decision-maker looking at how to best manage resources for exhibits, please consider completing this survey in order to contribute to our collective understanding. 

The survey will remain to open until November 30th, 2020. While the cumulative responses to questions in sections 1 through 4 will be shared publicly, any identifying personal or institutional information entered in section 5 will be kept confidential and not shared with the public.
