WAR FLOWERS:
A Touring Art Exhibition

SYNOPSIS

"WAR Flowers" is a touring art exhibition inspired by the pressed flowers George Stephen Cantlie picked in the gardens, fields and hedges of Europe during World War I for his baby daughter, Celia, in Montreal. This exhibition examines these century-old flowers using floriography, a method of communicating emotion through flowers, to tell the story of human nature in the landscape of war.
